How's your putting?
How consistent are you?

The key to lower scores is consistency, especially when it comes to those key close range putts. It's easy to get a bit nervous and not commit to a putt, whilst many golfers lift their head far too early in anticipation of seeing whether they've holed it or not.

If you want to 'putt for dough' the next time you're on the course, we're happy to help! Who knows, maybe we'll be able to eradicate those pesky three-putts from your scorecard too. Just imagine!

Hitting your irons close
TaylorMade Kalea Irons

Finding the right area of any green with your irons is pretty important. Fortunately, wetter weather in the winter will mean your ball stops more quickly and you can trust that the ball will stay closer to where it lands. But do you have the irons to make the most of this?

If not, don’t panic. The TaylorMade Kalea irons are made specifically with a lightweight, oversized head to give you every chance of catching the ball right and getting it to your intended target. The easy launch, thanks to very low centre of gravity in the irons, means you can even go for that target from further away.

But, of course, that’s the case wherever you play. With wetter weather we’ll be seeing softer greens, which means iron shots will stop quicker and, ultimately, you can attack the pin more. But do you have the irons in your bag to be taking advantage of this?

If not, don’t panic. The TaylorMade P790 and P770 irons are specifically designed for workability and precise shot-making. The Inverted Cone Technology allows forgiveness on off-centre hits despite the compact clubhead so that you can be aggressive with your irons, because putting is a hell of a lot easier after you’ve knocked it close.

Augusta isn’t the only course where finding the green is important, though. Whatever course you’re playing, you want to be confident that you can put yourself in a putting position.

In rainy weather, the greens are softer so the ball will stop more quickly, meaning it’s important you can find the right part of the green too. Can you find the exact distances? Are your irons up to the task?

No need to panic if they’re not! TaylorMade’s SIM Max and SIM Max OS irons are designed with a large head that’s shaped to be forgiving, allowing you every chance of catching that ball right. This gives you the confidence to aim closer to the pin, as well as the ability to pull it off.

Video of the Week

Bryson DeChambeau has been the biggest talking point in golf this year (apart from the newly introduced WHS). With nine top-10 finishes and a U.S. Open victory to his name, the vast changes he's made to his body and golf game seem to have paid dividends. Enjoy this week's video from the PGA Tour as we take a look at how he's gone about it, what gains he's produced and what his fellow Tour players think about it!
